“Borgo” is a French drama film directed by Stéphane Demoustier and released in 2023. The film is based on a real-life incident that occurred in 2017 at Bastia-Poretta airport, involving a female prison guard in a double murder.

Synopsis :
Mélissa, 32, is an experienced prison guard who moves to Corsica with her husband Djibril and their two young children to start a new life. She joins the team at the Borgo penitentiary center, where inmates benefit from an open regime, allowing them a degree of autonomy. Mélissa befriends Saveriu, an influential young inmate, who helps her solve some personal problems. However, once released, Saveriu asks Mélissa for a favor, placing her in a delicate and dangerous situation

Production: The shoot took place mainly in and around Ajaccio, South Corsica, as well as in the former prison in Compiègne, in the Oise region.
