Bequests: A bequest made under one’s will is often the simplest way to make a gift and make a lasting impact.
Retirement Plans: Inherited assets of retirement plans are subject to both estate taxes and income taxes, meaning heirs other than your spouse will receive only a fraction of the plan’s face value, making it more advantageous to set aside other assets for family and loved ones. As a tax-exempt organization, l'Alliance Francaise of New Orleans will receive the full amount of the plan’s value.
