Film Synopsis: Africa Mia is a journey in search of the soul of Afro-Cuban music. From the communist friendships of the Cold War to today, from Havana to Bamako, we follow in the footsteps of ten young Malian musicians in musical training in Cuba, who became a founding group of world music: the legendary Maravillas of Mali. Fifty years later, this forgotten group is resurrected thanks to Maestro Boncana Maïga, its historical conductor.

Synopsis du film: Africa Mia est un voyage à la recherche de l’âme de la musique afro-cubaine. Des amitiés communistes
de la guerre froide jusqu’à aujourd’hui, de La Havane à Bamako, nous partons sur les traces de dix jeunes maliens en formation musicale à
Cuba, devenus un groupe fondateur de la world music : les légendaires Maravillas de Mali. Cinquante ans plus tard, ce groupe oublié
ressuscite grâce au maestro Boncana Maïga, son chef d’orchestre historique.
