Students of Creole Level 2 will continue the exploration of La. Creole grammar begun in level 1. Familiarity with the basic structure Louisiana Creole (gained in Louisiana Creole level 1) is a prerequisite to this course. Louisiana Creole level 2 will be structured around classical Louisiana Creole texts including, but not limited to, the famous Louisiana Folktales of Compair Lapin and Compair Bouki. Discussions of grammar will be guided by the structures presented in these texts.

15 hours | 1.5 hours a week | 1 class of 2 hours per week.

ONSITE; taught by Lawson Ota

This class is designed for students who attended the course Creole Level 1, or for students who have knowledge in Louisiana creole. Knowing French language is not required.
