Petits penseurs

Children's Philosophy Workshop en français

Welcome to Petits Penseurs, a captivating and interactive monthly children's philosophy workshop designed for ages 6 to 9 years old. At Petits Penseurs, we nurture young minds through the exploration of thought-provoking themes entirely in French, making it an ideal platform for children already enrolled in a local French Immersion program or those who speak and comprehend French.

Our workshop themes are carefully curated to inspire curiosity and critical thinking. Each month, children will embark on a journey of intellectual discovery, exploring fascinating topics such as "What does it mean to think?," "What does it mean to love?," and "What is the point of rules?" Through engaging activities and thought experiments, we encourage participants to express their ideas and reflect on the world around them in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

At Petits Penseurs, we believe that learning French is not only about language proficiency but also about developing a deep understanding of the world and oneself. Our workshop facilitators are experienced and passionate about guiding young thinkers on this philosophical exploration entirely in French.

By immersing children in philosophical discussions, we aim to enhance their language skills, critical thinking abilities, and cultural appreciation. Our approach fosters creativity, empathy, and open-mindedness, empowering children to become confident communicators and thoughtful individuals.

Join us at Petits Penseurs and unlock the boundless potential of your child's mind. Whether they are just beginning their French language journey or are already fluent, our workshop will inspire them to become active participants in their learning and equip them with the tools for a lifelong love of knowledge.

See below for a schedule of upcoming workshops as well as links to enroll. All workshops begin at 1:30 pm and end at 3:00 pm.

About the teacher

I am 48 years old, I come from the Paris region. I have been teaching for 22 years. I love history, heritage, walking, all kinds of music, dancing and I'm interested in ecology. During the workshops, I like talking with the children, encouraging them to find the solutions themselves to enter into a relationship with the world around them. And it's also an opportunity to give free rein to their imagination and creativity.
